Training researchers in cutting-edge neuroimaging methods and sharing expertise in order to understand the brain.
The primary mission of the NeRVe (Neuroimaging Research for Veterans) Center is to advance the understanding of normative and pathological conditions that impact the Veterans' well being, with an aim toward improving clinical care and optimizing cognitive and neural health. In addition to research carried out by NeRVe faculty, we work in partnership with investigators both in and outside the VA system to facilitate high quality neuroimaging research. Finally, the NeRVe Center provides extensive opportunities for training and education in cutting-edge neuroimaging acquisition and analysis techniques.

These meetings serve as an opportunity for both new and experienced neuroimaging users to discuss recent or related literature and for members to present their own studies for critical feedback. Meetings are held every Tuesday at 2pm, and reminders are sent out through email prior to each meeting. Please contact Abby Sapiro (abigail.sapiro@va.gov) if you are interested in attending these meetings.
The goal of this series is to gain insight on commonly used methods in neuroimaging and neuropsychology that are presented by local and visiting scholars from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines. This meeting is recommended for new or experienced users wishing to gain feedback on a new project or problem. Please contact Susan McGlynn (susan.mcglynn@va.gov) if you are interested in attending these meetings.
This semester-style course meets once a week for 90 minutes with lecture and lab components. The goal of this course is to ensure that researchers from medical backgrounds or other employees new to the fields of biomedical research and statistics can gain proficiency in standard analytic and research methods. The Fall semester covers the basics, while the Spring semester builds on the previous course. Please contact Dr. Jennifer Fonda at (jennifer.fonda@va.gov) for more information.
Additional training can be done through the Martinos Center. For more information go to https://www.nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/training or contact abigail.saprio@va.gov.
